New York Federal Court Awards $26 Million for Software Trade Secrets Misappropriation

A federal district court in Syracuse, New York has ordered Security Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York and Archway Technology Services, Inc. to pay Member Services, Inc. $26 million in compensatory and punitive damages after a jury found the defendants liable for unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets related to software that stores data from remote locations into a single database.
